Hello, everyone. It's gonna be a double post today and we may be facing a strike tomorrow so this will be an interesting set of days. First off, is the class on note-taking.
It was a bit of a rushed morning and everyone was excited for the break to follow. I was a bit stressed out due to having lost my wallet the weekend previous, and so I didn't do any of the homework. Even with that, we opened with a brief discussion on what course expectations were, and how the program would progress with the ILA in two weeks. I wasn't listening as intently as I could and resorted to downloading the pdf's involved.
After the heads up for the ILA, we moved onto the class less of note-taking. It was something I had not prepared for at all, something that I resorted to asking classmates about just before we started the note-taking examples. We had covered taking notes on different studying methods, the Leitner System and the Fynman technique. We covered each studying method with a different note-taking style, of which I forgot both names. The link to the notes is just below.

I much preferred the first style, as it had a more sensible flow for the format we were working from, and if I were to use a different format for taking notes, I would use that.
With that said, it was an interesting, stressful class, and the post for this week will be done soon, with a bit more of an update on the weeks since.

A new week, a whole slew of new experiences. I learned APA style this week, and while my group may have not finished all of the resources, I did learn how to cite youtube videos, journal articles, and how to hunt for book publishers so I can cite them.
Not only did I learn that only some people will have things fully updated on a Sunday night to get everything ready for class, but I also learned a few life lessons this week. Like how to not lose your wallet with all of your ID in it. Massage Therapy at hHumberis a learning experience. As most things are.
Attached below is a PDF of our citation page, unfinished as it is. This is why cell division in criminal groups is good for keeping info, but it's really bad in a learning environment.

See you all next week.
